How to setup PT-X Protect on existing payment profiles

Protecting Payments

PT-X has the ability to check your payment files for Risks by applying certain rules as the file is being processed. This document will show you how to setup and manage those rules.

Setting the Protect Rules on a Payment Profile

  1. Login to PT-X with an account who is an administrator
  2. Navigate to the Settings Menu
  3. Click Payment Profile
  4. Click View next to the Payment Profile you wish to apply the Protect Rules to
  5. Click the Risk Management Tab
  • All 4 Risk Rules will be showing as Disabled by Default
  • Select Warning or Error for each individual rule you wish to apply
  • If Warning is selected the file will report all Risk items but allow the submission to proceed
  • If Error is selected the file will be rejected if a Risk is detected – you will be able to see the reason for rejection still though.
  1. If you select Warning or Error for the rule When an account is in a blacklist a Blacklists Tab appears at the bottom of the screen
  2. Click Blacklists
  3. Tick the box for the Blacklist you wish to use against this Payment Profile (how to setup Blacklists will be described below)
