How does DDICA work?

Bacs informs service users of indemnity claims in a DDIC advice report, which they can download from the Bacs website or receive automatically over Bacstel-IP (in the same way that they receive ADDACS, AUDDIS and ARRUD reports).

DDICA debit service users’ accounts and credit banks’ accounts to settle indemnity claims. However, service users can challenge claims before the ninth working day in the settlement cycle. Otherwise, the system will debit service users’ accounts 14 days after it has submitted a DDIC advice report.

Please contact your sponsoring bank if you need to challenge a DDICA
