How to update the EISCD database manually in CSeries DDM

The EISCD database within C-Series and C-Series DDM contains BACS valid sort codes and modulas checks to validate account numbers. This database must be kept up to date in order for the data checks to be as accurate as possible

The latest updates can be downloaded from using the password provided by the support team via email sent on monthly basis. Once these have been downloaded the database can be updated as follows:

We recommend that this is done by somebody in your IT department who has full access to the server and is familiar with your IT infrastructure.

  1. Select correct application  (in your case DDM for CSeries & Direct-IP Plus)
  2. Download the files and unzip them using password provided via email
  3. In Windows Services:
    3.1. Stop the Bottomline DirectDebit Organiser Service
    3.2. Stop the Bottomline Direct Debit Service
  4. Copy the downloaded files and replace the existing files in following location:
    <Product Location> \subsystems\directdebit\plugin
  5. In Windows Services:
    5.1. Stop the Bottomline Direct Debit Service
    5.2. Stop the Bottomline DirectDebit Organiser Service
