What is the advanced notice period?

The advanced notice period is the time you provide your customers with the notice of the payment from their account. Bacs states that a notice must be provided on payment plans and is set to a default of 10 calendar days, although this can differ depending on agreements with the bank.

If you are sending an ad-hoc payment and are wondering if you need to send an advance notice period. Please see the related article: Do I have to give an advanced notice period when making an ad-hoc payment?
