The first step you will need to check is to make sure that your Smart Card is activated by your sponsoring bank. This can be checked on the Bacs Payment Services website (https://paymentservices.bacs.co.uk).
This website can be accessed via the web-links menu in the ePAY application or via Internet Explorer.
Only Internet Explorer is supported at this time. Once you have accessed this page you will see a log on page with a Contact ID and Password which are not used by smart card users. You should then be prompted to enter your PIN code via an eSigner mainframe pop up window, if this does not show you will need to check you are in Internet Explorer and ask your IT support to check your browser settings.
If you are presented with any error messages on this page you will need to contact your sponsoring bank and relay the error message to them.
Once you can log into this page please follow the steps below.
